Our mission is to provide effective, readily available, comprehensive, and well integrated mental health services to all county residents. We work closely with families and other Greene County Departments. We believe in communicating effective practices that are aimed at enhancing each person's functioning and quality of life.
As the New York State licensed community mental health center for Greene County, our mission is to provide effective, readily available, comprehensive, and well integrated mental health services to all county residents. This includes the provision of needed emergency, assessment, and ongoing mental health treatment services utilizing family, individual, and group treatment interventions.
We recognize the central place the family plays in the healing process and commit our focus to family intervention whenever possible. This includes vehicles where we can inform families with knowledge of effective practices aimed at enhancing each family member's functioning. We further commit to ongoing evaluation of the effectiveness of our services in light of research based outcome criteria. Finally, we commit to full cooperation with the Greene County Legislature and its service priorities to full partnership with other County Departments in improving the quality of life for all Greene County residents. This includes developing close working relationships and providing needed services to residents involved with the Departments of Social Services, Public Health, Family Planning, Aging, Youth Bureau, Probation, Family Court, and the Sheriff's Department including the Greene County Jail.
