Connecting with Mental Health Services

Greene County Mental Health provides counseling and medication management for children and adults. If you are in need of these services you must call first and schedule an intake.  Once your intake is complete we will determine the most appropriate level of service and let you know when you can expect to start treatment. To schedule an intake, please call the following numbers:

Adults:  Contact Janet Mackey at 622.9163 x 114

Children: Contact Douglas Engel at 622.9163 x 109

Please note:

  1. For people 17 years and younger, a parent with legal rights and/or legal guardian must accompany the child for the intake.  There are several exceptions to this rule but please check with us ahead of time.
  2. If you cannot make your scheduled intake or decide not to seek services, please call us well ahead of time.  If you do not show for your intake without cancelling we will re-schedule at our discretion.

In the Event of a Psychiatric Emergency

In the event of a psychiatric emergency you are encourage to go to your local emergency room. You may also come to the clinic during normal business hours where there is always a mental health counselor available to provide a crisis assessment and recommend the appropriate level of care. After hours you can access our on-call system at 622.3344 to be connected with a mental health worker.
