Flu
The Greene County Public Health Nursing Service is prepared to help protect Greene County residents against seasonal flu and H1N1.
H1N1 will be incorporated into the flu vaccine for the 2010-2011 influenza season so only one influenza vaccine will be necessary.
The Department typically holds several seasonal influenza vaccination clinics for Greene County residents over age 65. Once our seasonal flu clinics are scheduled they will be posted on this website.
Additional information about influenza is available through the following flu websites and New York State's H1N1 flu hotline:

Top 5 Ways to Avoid the Flu:
1) Wash your hands with soap and warm water. Use alcohol-based hand sanitizers or wipes if soap and water are not available.
2) Try to stay in good general health by getting plenty of sleep, being physically active, and managing your stress, and eating nutritious food.
3) Drink plenty of fluids.
4) Avoid close contact with people who are sick and try to not touch surfaces that may be contaminated with the flu virus.
5) As the vaccines become available, get both the seasonal and H1N1 vaccines.
